Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the public Sonavi website, including the homepage, download page, changelog, legal pages, and support contact pathways, and to the Sonavi Windows desktop app.

It describes Sonavi's product data-handling practices. It does not replace privacy notices or policies of third-party applications, Windows, managed-device administrators, or external services you choose to use with Sonavi.

2. Information we collect

Basic technical request data that is typically generated when visitors load a website.
Information a user voluntarily submits through the Sonavi LinkedIn company page or other support contact pathways.
Pseudonymous operational analytics for download and app-usage measurement when enabled, including event type, version, platform, channel, timestamps, and an opt-in hashed install identifier.
Optional diagnostics or support information that you choose to create or submit, such as privacy-scrubbed runtime, device, model-download, and error details. These are not sent merely because you export them to your desktop.
Optional website analytics after analytics consent, including page paths, coarse site sections, referrer host or campaign source, coarse country code, page dwell time, download-click timing, coarse bot classification, and a random per-tab website session identifier.

3. Why we use information

To deliver and secure the website.
To respond to support or contact requests.
To maintain release information and download availability.
To understand aggregate download conversion, active installs, update adoption, website navigation patterns, download timing, likely human versus bot traffic, and product reliability without collecting spoken content, transcripts, personal files, raw IP addresses, raw user-agent strings, or raw machine identifiers.
Sonavi processes audio and transcript content locally for normal transcription. They are not included in operational analytics, model-download requests, or a diagnostics export unless you intentionally share content through a separately explained, explicit process.

4. Sharing

Sonavi may rely on infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare to host and deliver the site, product update and model-download services, and enabled telemetry. Information is not sold to third parties.

Do not post diagnostic exports, command lines, recordings, transcripts, account details, or installer files in public support channels. Review information before sharing it and use an approved private support or security channel.

5. Retention

Support communications are retained only as long as needed for response, recordkeeping, or legal compliance.

Telemetry event records are retained only as long as needed for operational analysis, with aggregate usage metrics preferred for long-term reporting.

Diagnostics and support information that you submit are retained only as long as needed to investigate, respond to, and document the request, subject to applicable legal obligations.
