What it is
Sonavi is a Windows desktop app for dictation and local transcription. It is designed to help you turn spoken thoughts into text without leaving the apps where you already write, such as documents, messages, notes, and planning tools.
Use a hotkey to start dictation, speak naturally, then finish the capture and insert or review the resulting text in your current workflow. Sonavi is intended to reduce the typing required for everyday writing rather than replace the apps where your work lives.
How the workflow works
Sonavi runs on your Windows device and uses local transcription for the normal dictation workflow. The current website presents a hotkey-first flow: start, speak, finish, and use the text where you need it.
After the app and a transcription model are installed, core dictation can work without an internet connection. Internet access can still be needed for model downloads, updates, feedback, licensing checks where applicable, and optional online services.
